Description: This painting reimagines the traditional UAE dhow as a symbol of heritage, resilience and forward movement. Set against handmade paper and created with acrylic paint, the work combines Al Saleh’s signature sine wave patterns with dotting techniques to express the continuous rhythm between the sea, memory and identity. The flowing waves represent movement and possibility, while each individual dot reflects a moment, memory or connection. Together, they create a visual dialogue between tradition and contemporary expression. Through the dhow, Al Saleh celebrate the UAE’s maritime heritage and the spirit of journeys that continue to shape the nation always moving forward while remaining connected to its roots.
